Miranda is a large, correct kid we retained out of our 2020 Breeding Program. Her dam, TSA Moon is a doe that excels in milk production. We’re hoping this kid follows suit. Her sire, DeLuna Legend excels in correctness of legs, feet and pasterns and this is very noticeable in Miranda; certainly an improvement over her dam. Miranda also excels in teat placement and top line and continues to grow in overall body capacity.

We were on the fence about including Miranda in our 2021 Breeding Plans and ultimately decided to give her another year to mature. We look forward to including her in our 2022 plans.

2021 Updates:

Some goats are just sleepers, here is the perfect case. Up until a few weeks ago, we seriously contemplated selling Miranda. She just looked plain ratty in her winter coat. Fast forward a week, the entire herd gets clipped and all of a sudden the ugly duckling turns into the beautiful swan – this is Miranda. On a whim, we took her to the BDGA show and she cleaned house. Rarely have I seen a junior look at good as this one. Now that she’s earned her dry leg, she will be retired for the remainder of the year, factored into our breeding programs and re-surface next year as a FF doe. Cannot wait to see how this girl freshens.
