We LOVE every kid we’ve gotten from Tempo Farms and Lyra is no exception. When we first saw Lyra’s dam, Silhe, we knew immediately we wanted one of her kids to add to our herd; we waited two years for it to happen. Lyra’s pedigree is staggering. Her dam is an elite doe achieving it in only her second year and her sire, Vito goes back through Kastdemur’s Stingray and Goat-San Venice, the 2015 National Champion.

Lyra is a very correct doeling, although small and maturing slowly. Lyra will remain a dry doe to give her an additional year to mature. She will be factored into the 2021 Breeding Program.

2021 Updates:

Lyra was included in our 2021 Breeding Plans and freshened beautifully. On the first milk test, Lyra already produced in excess of 8#, a great production for a young first freshener. She continues to mature more slowly than some of the other first fresheners in our herd, but so much to like overall. We look forward to see the continued growth and maturity, especially as a second freshener.
